CHIPO Speakers Bureau

The CHIPO Speakers Bureau was developed to elevate awareness and address hepatitis B in African immigrant communities across the U.S. Speakers are volunteer coalition members and community spokespeople working in African communities around the country. Speakers disseminate information and improve awareness in multiple languages.

Speakers have the opportunity to participate in advocacy efforts at the local and national level, and also engage with local and national ethnic media outlets (newspaper, television and radio). CHIPO offers training for all speakers, to help them become familiar with advocacy and media. You can view a recording of a recent CHIPO Speakers Bureau training. You can also download the training materials and Speakers Bureau toolkit.
